          Well this is it, the last entry in my blog. This school year has been an amazing journey of self discovery. As the school year ends, I would like to share some of my opinions on this school year.

          I had a lot of joyous occasions this school year with all it's events. School life was certainly never dull.I also made a lot of friends this year. There was also some obstacles that i faced this year. The shifting at classes was very annoying for me and i also had to chase a deadlines many times. Throughout these problems I was able to see some of my flaws so i started working on fixing them. Because of these challenges I become stronger.

          This school year was definitely a great year for me. I was able to learn new skills and improve myself. I hope that next school year will be as great as this school year.

Happy new year!

2019 is here and with comes the new year’s eve. New Year’s Eve is always a fun time with all its beautiful fireworks display and its loud trumpets. And what would a new year be without a new year’s resolution?

One of the things that I am definitely going to do this year is to study harder. I was able to get to the honor roll this 3^rd quarter and because I am aspiring to maintain or improve my grades in order to be kept at the honor roll this 4^th quarter. I also plan to be thriftier this year in order to save more money. I also plan to be more hardworking this year. Another thing that is in my new year’s resolution is to try to have a healthier lifestyle. I can achieve this by putting more vegetables and fruits in my diet and by exercising regularly. This will help be more fit and alert.

A new year to give us a chance to make this year better than last year. We must use this opportunity to in order to better ourselves. We will face many problems in our lives every year but as long as we continue to improve ourselves we shall be able to overcome these problems.

ISNHS and it's 117th year of making dreams come true

           

              ISNHS just celebrated its 117^th year since its foundation. It is amazing to think that this school has been around for this long. It has hosted many students in its buildings and it has helped them learn to become better than they were before.  Because of this we celebrated foundation day.

There were a lot of events that happened during foundation day like the field demo, and the search for Mr. and Mrs. ISNHS. All of these activities were entertaining to watch especially the field demo where I was amazed at all of the performances. It’s is very clear to see that all of the performers practiced many times. However there wasn’t really a lot of things to do in the foundation day. Despite this the foundation day was still very fun and enjoyable. It’s too bad that I won’t be able to celebrate it again next year.

ISNHS has come a long way. This is a place which has helped many students achieve their dreams. ISNHS has achieved many great thing within its 117^th year and will most likely go on achieving even greater things.

Dreams for the future

Everyone has a dream. A dream on a great future. A dream on what our job shall be, the things that we’ll be doing, the places that we’ll go to and many more.

One of my dreams is to one day be a scientist. Our world currently faces many problems that may lead to the extinction of the human race. By becoming a scientist I can find solutions to these problems. Another one of my dreams is to travel around the world. I have a lot of dreams for the future however these dreams will only stay dreams if I do nothing in order to achieve it. If I want my dream to be become a reality than I must work hard and be determined in order to achieve it.

Dreams are essential to us because it provides us a blueprint on who we want to be. Without dreams we have nothing to strive for. This is why we should always keep on dreaming, after all it’s free.

Kannawidan: Showcasing the culture of Ilocos Sur

          One of the biggest events of Vigan is the Kannawidan festival. It is a massive festival that happens on the last week of January and ends on the first week of Febuary. Tourists from all around the world go to Vigan in order to be part of this massive celebration.

          Kannawidan is a festival that showcases the long and amazing history of Ilocos Sur including it's foundation and it's awesome culture. It is here that we shall find the best that Ilocos Sur has to offer. It's various events include street dancing, a food festival and many more. The goal of these events is to remind the people about the traditions of Ilocos Sur and make sure that they do not fade into obscurity.

          Kannawidan is a very fun and engaing festival. Kannawidan is a festival that reminds about the culture of the Ilocanos which is quickly being forgotten in our modern world. It is always important to remember the history of our ancestors and how their actions helped shaped  Ilocos Sur.

Change starts with me

There are many things that we need to change in our present day society. From stopping the discrimination that the minority receive on a daily basis to making our society less wasteful on our natural resources and what better place is there to start this change than ourselves?

Change starts with ourselves. If we want to improve our community the first thing that we must do is to improve ourselves. The first thing that we should do is to identify the flaws within ourselves. We can only the flaws which we are aware of. The second thing to do after identifying these flaws is to work towards changing it to something positive. It may be hard to change the bad habits that we have however as long as we are determined and work hard towards achieving this goal we will eventually triumph.

We all have the power to change society but in order to start this change we must become a role model for these changes. Our actions may inspire others to do the same.  We must be a good example of the change that we want to happen for change starts with ourselves.

3rd Quarter reflection

The quarterly exams are near and the 3^rd quarter is almost over. I have experienced many things during these times. Happiness, frustration, sadness, regret and many more. Because of this I ask myself, what have done during this quarter? And what can I learn from it?

There have been many obstacles that I have faced during this quarter like tight deadlines and hard activities. However I have persevered and made it through this quarter. These challenges have made me learn new things and have also made me a better person. I will strive to do better next quarter and try to learn new skills.

I have learned a lot of things during this quarter. The last quarter draws near with its own challenges and obstacles. I may not know what awaits me in the 4^th quarter but I will do my best to solve any problems that I shall encounter.   

Essence of Christmas

Christmas is here again and with it comes gifts, happy times and egg nog.  It is one of the most widely anticipated and celebrated holidays in the entire world. It is usually during this time that we buy many gifts for the ones we love. However during these times it is easy to forget why we celebrate Christmas: the birth of our lord and savior, Jesus Christ

It’s during these times that we forget that Christmas is all about giving love to our fellow brothers and sisters because we focus the material aspect of Christmas rather than the spiritual one. There are many ways that we can show our love to other people like forgiving the people that have done wrong against us and asking for forgiveness from those whom we’ve hurt. We should also donate to things that we do not need to the needy and the unfortunate people. We should also use this as a time to bond with our families. We should also pray to the Lord and thank him for the great sacrifice that he made to save us from our sins.

The essence of Christmas is to give love to our fellow neighbors and celebrate the birth of our savior. We can show our love for Jesus by helping others and giving them what they need. Merry Christmas everybody!

Achieving equality for a better society

Equality. This is something that every society wants to have for its citizen no matter what they are. Equal opportunities for jobs, equal opportunities for education, equal opportunities to live a successful life no matter their gender or race. A society where everyone is treated equally. A society can only reach its full potential if it treats all of its member with an opportunity to be great and what better way is there to give equal opportunities to people by giving them equal rights.

Giving equal rights to every person allow them to use their skills to help society. If we deny a person equal rights then his talent will be wasted rather than be used to benefit a society and its citizens. We face many obstacles for this to exist but I believe that one day we shall be able to live and experience this dream. However if we truly want to achieve this dream then we must help our fellow brothers and sisters who are being discriminated and make more people aware of this issue. We live in a fortunate time where social media allows us to spread awareness for issues faster and more effectively. It can give us the power to lend voices to the people who are being oppressed in our society. Let us use this power to help end discrimination.

Equality is very important if we want to build a thriving society. In order to achieve equality we try to stop the discrimination that is happening in the world. We must always remember that we should treat everyone with respect and dignity because in the end we are all human, and therefore we are all children of God and we must treat our brothers and sisters fairly.

Pagaaruga sa isang bata

Ang bata ay isa sa pinakaimportante na tao sa isang lipunan. Ito ay dahil rinepresenta nila ang ating legasiya at nakasalalay sa kanila ang kanibukasan ng ating lahi. Dahil dito dapat maganda ang ating pagaaruga upang lumaki sila bilang isang responsableng at disiplinado na mamamayan. Pero paano natin sila maaarugang sapat?

Maraming paraan ang pwedeng gawin upang matuto ang mga bata ng mga magandang asal kagaya ng pagabasa sa kanila ng isang kuwento na may magandang asal o pagbibigay sa kanila ng isang magandang kasabihan. Pero ang mga ito ay hindi sapat upang matuto ang isang bata. Upang matuto talaga ang isang bata dapat natin ipakita sa kanila kung paano dapat sila kumilos sa pamamagitan ng pagkilos ng mabuti. Ang mga bata ay kaunting panahon palang sila nabubuhay at kunti palang ang kanilang nalalaman tungkol sa mundong ito. Dahil dito madalsa sila sa pag kopya ng mga ginagawa ng mga mas nakakatanda sa kanila dahil hindi pa nila alam kung ano ang tama o mali.  Dapat tayong magsilbing magandang patnubay sa kanila sa pamamagitan ng gawa, hindi sa pamamagitan ng pagsabi sa kanila lang.

Nakasalalay sa mga bata ang kanibukasan ng ating mundo. Nakasalalay sa mga bata ang kanibukasan ng ating mundo. Dahil dito importante na ipakita sa kanila kung paanong mabuhay ng responsible. Dapat palaging natin aalahanin na pakitunguhan ng maganda ang bata upang matuti sila kung ano ang mali at ano ang tama

Reading to ensure success

Writing is one of the greatest inventions that helped the human race in forming civilization. It allowed us to store and organize information efficiently. It helped us spread knowledge more effectively and because of this the collective understanding of humanity on the forces which governed our lives grew. But how do we access this information?

Learning how to read is essential in order to unlock the vast amounts of information which our ancestors left us. Reading increases our knowledge on various topics like science, history, math, and so much more. Using the knowledge which we have acquired by reading we can ensure that we can have a bright future. We can use the knowledge which we have acquired in order to solve problems which we encounter every day. Increasing our reading skills like reading comprehension or increasing our vocabulary can also help us in attaining a good future because it enables us to understand more complex and advanced topics. One of the best ways to increase our reading skills is to continue reading books. Reading can also help us in acquiring new skills which we can use every day. Reading can truly help us in our day to day life!

Reading is one of the best ways in order to ensure that we have a good future. Reading help us in understanding various topics and acquiring knowledge. We should always find time to read a book once in a while.

Teknolohiya: Maganda o masama para sa pakikipagugnayan?

Sa panahon ngayon, maraming gadgets ang umiiral kagaya ng cellphone o computer. Ang mga gadgets ay tinutulungan tayo na makakagawa ng maraming bagay kagaya ng paglaro ng games at makipagusap sa ating kakilala. Sa dami dami na pwedeng gawin sa mga gadgets pwede pa natin ito gamitin upang makapagkalingang ang ating ugnayan sa ating pamilya at kapwa ?

Maraming rason kung bakit ang gadget ay makakatulong sa atin sa pagugnay sa ating mga pamilya at kaibigan. Dahil sa mga gadget na ito ay mas naging mabilis at madali ang pagigi pagusap sa ating pamilya at kapwa. Kahit kung saan ka man sa bansa sa tulong ng mga gadgets pwede mo paring kausapin at makita ang mga iyong minamahal sa buhay. Pwede mo ring gamitin ang mga gadget upang makakilala ng bagong kaibigan. Pero dapat natin palaging aalahanin na gamitin ng responsible ang mga gadgets na ito dahil pwede rin sila magbigay ng masamang epekto sa atin dahil pwede rin tayong maging adik sa kanila. Ang adksiyon na ito ay nakakadamay sa mga relasiyon. Upang hindi tayp maging adikted sa mga gadgets ay dapat natin gamitin sila ng mapanuri at may moderasyon.

Ang mga gadgets ay maaring magdulot ng magandang o masamang epekto sa ating pakikipagugnay sa ating kapwa at pamilya. Ito ay nakadepende kung paano mo ito gagamitin. Dapat tayo makagawa ng balance sa ating gadgets at sa ating buhay. Ang susi para sa balance na ito ay ang moderasyon, disiplina at mapanuring pagagamit ng gadget.

Second quarter reflection

Half of the quarters are now over and with it comes new experiences, knowledge, and insights. I have learned a lot things this quarter. One of the memorable things that I learned was how to make a webpage using HTML.

This quarter has been a great experience for me and while I did have to cram some projects most of the second quarter was enjoyable. I was able to learn a lot of things this quarter like internet access, URLs, and HTML. These were quite enjoyable to learn and I can see a lot of applications for these subjects. However there are also actions that I regretted doing this quarter. I hope to learn from these actions to find out what I am lacking in. Because of this I will use my failings as a motivation to become a better student.

The third quarter is here and with it comes a new starting point. I will use this opportunity to do better in my classes. I hope that by the end of the third quarter I will start to see an improvement to my grades.  

U.N month

“Coming together with those furthest behind to build an inclusive world of universal respect for human rights and dignity." This is the theme of the U.N month celebration. The U.N month is celebrated because it encourages us to treat with respect. But what does the theme mean?

                               

There are many people who face many hardships everyday like poverty, abuse, human rights violation and many more. We have the power to change this for better or for worse. We should the power that we have to help these people because it is our responsibility to uphold everyone’s rights and dignity. This is why U.N. encourages us to help these people so that we can build a world where everyone is given equal opportunity no matter their sex, race, or social standing. Now, there are many ways to help them and we can start by making the public be aware of the problems which these people face. This is because we need the support of people if we want to solve these problems because if we are alone we cannot change anything but if we unite we can change everything.

There are many problems which our world currently faces which stems from the mistreatment of people. Treating everyone with respect and dignity is something that we must do if we want these problems to be solved. This is why we unite in order to face these human rights violation in order to make the world a better place

Wavefront: Accentuating Potentials, Activating Technological Advancements

The human race has done great achievements thanks to technology. It allowed us to go the moon, probe the universe and see the smallest of objects. Technology has helped us a lot in attaining knowledge and the quality of life which we experience today. Because of this we celebrate science month in order to celebrate how far technology has taken us.

The theme this science month is “Wavefront: Accentuating Potentials, Activating Technological Advancements”. A lot of people have the potential to make a new innovation which can change the world. Unfortunately these people are never given an opportunity to attain their full potential due to a lack of education, a lack of funds, and a lot of other things and because of this technological advancement is held back. This theme encourages us to help people attain their full potential in order to help advance technology.

Technological advancement starts with an idea. A lot of people have the potential to make this ideas but are unable to due to a lack of education. We must help them in planting these ideas in their minds in order to further advance technology and help make a better future. 

Why teachers matter

     Teacher’s day is here and with it comes the influx of gifts that receives like chocolates, flowers, and many more. It’s a special occasion for teachers because of the special treatment that get during this day. However some students may ask on why celebrate this occasion.

     Teachers are our second parents and they teach us a lot of things like math, english, science, and many more. They also teach us values like discipline, punctuality, and that we should always be hard working.  They are also very patient, correcting us whenever we make a mistake instead of becoming angry, and also dealing with our noisy selves. They also have to stay all night just to make a lesson plan and also check our requirements like quizzes and outputs. It’s really not easy to be a teacher but they make a lot of sacrifices in order to make sure that we grow into responsible citizens.

     Teachers sacrifice a lot so that we can have a bright future. Every day they have to put up with our shenaniganries and every night they have to stay up to make lessons plans and check their papers. Because of this being a teacher can be very tiring work and so this teacher’s day, let us show them our love for everything that they do.

The Resiliency of Filipinos

       

               Resiliency is a trait that has been attributed many times to Filipinos. Having resiliency means that you are able to recover quickly from loss. Filipinos have shown this trait time and again. This is why I am proud to call myself a Filipino.

               Filipinos have faced many challenges in the past. We have faced oppression, wars, natural disasters and many more. Despite this, the Filipino people faced these challenges with courage. The Filipinos' spirit stayed strong and because of this we were able to overcome all of these challenges. We were able to free ourselves from oppression, win wars, and recover from natural disasters and many more. One of the reasons the Filipinos have remained resilient is because we are helpful to the Filipinos that have experienced a tragedy. When we see that our fellow Filipinos are in trouble we immediately try to help them. Because of our kindness to each other we are able to recover from disaster quickly and overcome any challenges that we may face.

               We face a lot a disasters every year from natural disasters like storms, floods and earthquakes to man made disasters like terrorism and shortages. Despite this the Filipino has been able to remain vigilant and courageous. No matter what challenges that we may face, the Filipino people will always remain strong and resilient.

Reflections

          Exams are very close and with it the end of the first quarter. A lot has happened during the last quarter. A whole quarter has gone by and I ask myself about what I learned, what are the things that I have done this quarter and many more.

          There are a lot of things that I learned during this first quarter like formulas for voltage, the parts of a research paper, the Greek gods and goddesses, arithmetic sequencing, and a lot more. All these topics have piqued my interest and I was able to learn things that I could use in my everyday life. During the first quarter, I faced many challenges and sometimes I felt like giving up. Tight deadlines, tough quizzes, and many more. However, these challenges made me realize the flaws that I had because many of the challenges that I faced were created by my actions and decisions. I was able to overcome these challenges by recognizing these flaws and addressing them. Moving on I will try my best to have a better grade next quarter which I can achieve by working hard and by focusing in my studies.

           As I answer these questions I start to realize that there are a lot of things that I did in the first quarter which I regret. Because of this I have promised myself to do my best to excel in my classes. I hope that the next quarter will be better than the first.
