One of the biggest events of Vigan is the Kannawidan festival. It is a massive festival that happens on the last week of January and ends on the first week of Febuary. Tourists from all around the world go to Vigan in order to be part of this massive celebration.

The goal of these events is to remind the people about the traditions of Ilocos Sur and make sure that they do not fade into obscurity.
